Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates from Seeing Change.

Once and a while you find a group of people who have quietly led the way, and they need to be celebrated. I had met the owners of Carbon Busters a few times over the last couple of years. Enthusiastic and passionate about energy reduction, they give allot to the environmental community.

Carbon Busters has many facets. From books for the general public like The Carbon Buster’s Home Energy Handbook: Slowing Climate Change and Saving Money
, to sitting on educational boards and committees, Godo and Shanthu are involved in the community whole heatedly.  I think the most interesting is the energy reduction audits and planning that Carbon Busters can do for an organisation.  Many companies have found it difficult to implement energy reduction strategies, for fear of the cost. I think that this statment from the Carbon Busters website shows the different approach that they bring to energy reduction.

“A Carbon Busters guarantee is available for larger energy efficiency projects. For applicable projects, Carbon Busters guarantees it will identify and document savings at least five times greater than its auditing fees. If Carbon Busters does not meet this guarantee, it will reimburse a proportional amount of the auditing fees to the client. Please contact us to determine if your potential project would qualify for this guarantee.”

I can not think of another company that wil guarantee the savings that you will recieve. And they have been doing this since 1992, well before the green movement and carbon reduction took off. In this time of economic uncertinty, that is a hard guarantee to pass up.

I know that Carbon Busters has their eyes set on some pretty big projects in the future, so stay tuned.
