Thanking The Government

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates from Seeing Change.

I have followed the progress of the protection of the Nahanni National Park in the Northwest Territories of Canada. There have always been actions and meetings to gain the governments support to protect the watershed of the Nahanni River. Well there has been a new development. The park has officially been expanded to include 30,000 square kilometers. That is great. But what has really caught my attention is the new letter to the government from on of the key groups in working towards protecting the Nahanni. The Canadian Parks And Wilderness Society has asked for people to participate in another email campaign to the Prime Minister and other minsters involved in the expansion of the park.

It is a thank you letter campaign.  Take the time to thank those involved in protecting a huge area of Canada. The letter is here. I have filled it out, and it felt great. To be able to show support for a positive action in government is a nice change.

If you have never written a letter to government, take this opportunity to say something good. Saying thank you can help your future causes.
