Thai Military storm local beaches to save endangered turtles. What a great image. This is happening on a beach near Sattahip, Thailand. The Thailand Navy is collecting and raising green sea turtles, in an effort to release them into the wild, while avoiding hunters and accidental damage. Seeing a government body that is not “the environment agency”, take an honest effort to improve the status of it’s countries animals is amazing. This is not just an environmentalist going out to count eggs, this is an agency that sees a need for more action, and acts. Keep an eye out for more agencies that provide conservation and protection of nature, while it is not part of their mandate.
