It is a new month, and one of many opportunities. There have been some changes here, and i am taking on some new opportunities of my own. Just a few months ago I lost my job, as many have around the world this past year. I was lucky and had another job to fall back onto. I had also begun to write down some of the ideas and positive things I have seen. By finding good things, and taking the time to write about them, it was easier to stay positive over my current situation. Now I am a bit of a computer geek, so when i figured this information could help others, I naturally made a blog.
A challenge that I have taken on for this month is to write every day. Helped on by the NaBloPoMo, AKA National Blog Posting Month, I will find and write about more great ideas this month. You can give this a try as well. This months theme is “Haunted”. Take a moment to write for your self, on theme ,or not. It can be very supportive and rewarding.
And now for another inspiration to help better the world. The wonderful people over at Idealist have created Nonprofit Career Month. Having a rewarding career is an amazing thing. With the help of this site, http://www.nonprofitcareermonth.org, you can learn about and find jobs in the non-profit sector. Non-profits provide so much for our communities, and it is the amazing staff at those groups that create the world we want to see. Each of those staff would tell you that one of the best parts of the job is what the participants and volunteers give back to you. Hope and energy.
