Food Banks on the Web

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates from Seeing Change.

On the first day of December, my true love gave to me..

The chance to help feed others..

I know, not very musical but truly what I bieleve. Having come close a few times to not being able to put fill my fridge, or even a shelf in that fridge. I hope to never be in that position again, and understand the situation of those who are. Every chance I get I donate cans at events, or money at the till of the local Save-On-Foods grocery store.

In starting this website I have frequently shared news from the Edmonton Food Bank (@yegfoodbank on twitter). It feels great to support a food bank in sharing there successes, and their needs. Now how to share the needs from other food banks. Twitter Lists has provided a great opportunity. After searching though the user lists, we here at Seeing Change have compiled a list of all the food banks that currently use Twitter. Feel free to follow http://twitter.com/#/list/seeingchange/foodbanks to see what food banks in your area, and around the world are doing. Or come back to this page to see a live feed of the list, right under this post.

Giving a single can is important, but helping others to donate truly helps society.
