Kiva: Give the Gift of Giving

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates from Seeing Change.

As we start the season of giving, what could be better than to help someone else give a gift. Kiva is a gateway that gives the ability for a person to provide micro-loans to small buisiness owners around the world. If a farmer needs a loan of $300 to upgrade their buisiness, you can give a loan of as little as $25, and help them reach their goal. Now we can take this wonderful feature from Kiva to help others donate to worthy participants. Kiva Gifts are gift certificates that you can send to your friends and co-workers, and they can choose a worthy project to provide the loan to. Now your gift of a small amount of money will help those you know give loans, and they can reinvestĀ each time it is paid back. $25, $50, $100 can go around the world many times, and each time it will make a positive change in the world.

Below is Seeing Change’s most recent donation to a Kiva project. Check out other great projects at www.kiva.org.
