I like a good ski movie. Amazing scenery, athletic achievement, and as a good Canadian should love, lots of snow. An this year I have found a great one, with a green edge to it.
Re: Session (great play on the state of the world), is a new film this ski season from Teton Gravity Research (TGR). This carbon neutral film boast some of the best cinematography of the year. Yes it takes fuel to get some of the shots, but TGR offsets this completely, to become a carbon neutral film. And TGR makes the best of that offset. Dynamic shots that bring you right into the action, and vast vistas of open snow covered mountains.
Along with the offsets, TGR uses recycled packaging for their DVD’s, and is also a great advocate for the environment. TGR has helped to create Protect Our Winters (POW), a non-profit group devoted to highlighting the impact of climate change. TGR is also a 1% For The Planet member.
So this well produced film is also one of the greenest. A must watch for 2010.
