Athletes work hard at their sport. Many work odd jobs to cover a few expenses. A few live on less than $300 a month. As an individual with an intellectual disability, getting to the sport that you love can be difficult. Getting to practice can involve hours of transit time, on someone else’s schedule. And yet these athletes are the epitome of perseverance, dedication and truly love to compete. And the time to compete is apon them.
